Silk is another natural fabric. It is very delicate and can be damaged very easily. If you are purchasing this for a family room, i advise against it. Silk can be stained very easily.
Linen
It’s strong and durable. If you perfer silk, this might be an alternative. However it can be easily wrinkled or stained. So… if you are leaning toward this to go into a family room i advise against this as well but is a better option than silk.
Wool
You’ll hardly ever see this material in a upholstery fabric, atleast that’s been my experience. Wool is a durable fabric and can last a long time and is naturally stain resistant. This tpe of fabric is great for flooring however.
